The Pathway to Victory
#
Psalm 108:1-5
Introduction
I want to end the year on a high note. Being in church is always a blessing! It is not a chore, it is to be prioritized, because it is a blessing. Tonight, we will continue through the Psalms, but tonight’s Psalm gives us a Pathway to Victory.
Charles Spurgeon in his Treasury of David, points out this Psalm is actually pulled from two other Psalms to make one. Psalm 57:7-11 closely mirrors the first 5 verses of Psalm 108. And Psalm 60:5-12 closely mirror the following 6-13 verses of Psalm 108.

What Does God See?
#
Proverbs 15:3
Intro.
What does God see? If we could be mindful of this in our life all the
time, it would be of great value and benefit to the way we live our life
from day to day.
I. Power of Words (1,2,3a)
#
A. Soft Words - (1)
#
Doesn’t imply a weak or compromising answer.
Jesus often gave a soft answer when dealing with the Pharisees who came
accusing Jesus in attempts to trap Him.

God’s Way is Best
#
Proverbs 16:1-5
Intro.
LORD is used more times in this chapter of Proverbs than any other
chapter in the entire book of Proverbs. It is used 11 times. There is
probably something we should get from that.
Is. 55:6 ¶ Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Is. 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Is. 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Is. 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Four Features of a Fool
#
Intro.
Fool is a prominent word in Chapter 17. We do understand that the
Proverbs are not a continuous flow of thoughts, but rather a collection
of wise sayings. By selecting a prominent word, by no means am I
covering the entirety of the chapter. I have only selected a few
proverbs that appear in the same chapter, and teaching on them. There
are many themes, and lessons that can be learned from chapter 17 that
will not be touched tonight… so by all means, do take the time to read
Proverbs 17, and see other things written in there.

Proverbs 18
Proverbs 18:1-5
Wise Person (Pro 18:1)
A. Desire
#
• You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink
• You can lead a fool to wisdom, but you cannot make him learn.
B. Decision (separate)
#
• You decided to come to church, you choose, with purpose to arrive at
church.
• People don’t always choose to do the right thing.

Which path will you choose?
#
Prov. 18:12 ¶ Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before
honour is humility.
I. Path to destruction or honor (Pro 18:12)
#
There are two very distinct pathways laid out before us in this verse.
The one path, is a well worn path, it looks like the most successful
of people have traveled that path before… it looks like it is the
path to success if you look at it.

Instruction
#
Proverbs 19:20
Introduction
Last week we looked at: Path of Life: 1. Integrity, 2. Ignorance 3.
Idleness 4. Intelligence
All the verses we will look at tonight pertain to Instruction. Proverbs
talks a lot about instruction. Really, in the Path of life, we have
access to a lot of instruction. We pick and chose the instruction we
want to follow. As we study the Proverbs, understand that for the most
part when instruction is mentioned, it is talking about spiritual godly
instruction found in the Word of God. You will find no greater
instruction.

Which Way Should You Go?
#
Proverbs 22:1, 2, 8, 16, 21, 29
Introduction
I have never made any claims about being good with directions, because
the truth of the matter is I’m not that good with directions. I have to
see a map, and really spend some time looking at a map to figure things
out.
Some people struggle with directions on a spiritual level, and are often
confused, and struggle with the right direction in their life. All the
verses we will look at this evening deal with the Way. Perhaps you ask
yourself, Which Way Should I Go? Many times we stand at a cross road in
our life, trying to figure out the best path to take. I hope tonights
message will help you, and encourage you to take the right path.

The Wicked Way
#
Proverbs 21:27
Introduction
The word wicked or wickedness is used more frequently in the book of
Proverbs than any other book of the Bible. It is used 9 times in 6
verses in this chapter. It is a theme can cannot be missed in this
chapter.
I. Worship of the Wicked (Pro 21:27)
#
Proverbs 21:27 – The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much
more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
